F 15-Jan 3 Defining the Literary Hero

Do a number of websearches on the following search phrase: Characteristics or Definition literary hero. Then, do a number of websearches on the following search phrase: Characteristics or Definition literary heroine. Come to class on Friday with 1) a printed definition of what YOU have found to be characteristics/definition of a hero/ine, and 2) a one paragraph observation if you found any differences between the definitions of a hero and a heroine.

 
M 18-Jan 4 Catagorizing the Literary Hero

Place the characters listed on the class’s website into categories of YOUR CREATION.  You’ll have to do a bit of quick research on those characters in order to do this assignment.  Let’s cap the number of characters to sort at 15 (you can do all 27 if you like). Please print this assignment and bring it to class.
