Trio Reading Presentation

Basic Assignment

Your group is to read and prepare a presentation on the reading you have selected (from the class schedule of assignments).

Examples and Advice

Your group is responsible for providing the following information in whatever way, shape, or form you would like to present that information. 

1.      Author

2.      Main characters

a.      Protagonist/Antagonist

b.      Supporting characters

3.      Setting

a.      Time frame

b.      Historical context

4.      Overall Plot and Plot of Specific Assigned Passages

5.      Major themes

If that includes multimedia, a debate, a panel, a PowerPoint, singing and dancing, costumes—that’s all fine with me.  You are also responsible for (in consultation with the instructor) choosing the specific sections of the reading for the class to read.  So please plan ahead!  Note:  the more associations and comparisons with pieces of literature we have “looked” at throughout the semester, the better.

There is no paper attached to this assignment.  You will be evaluated (using a rubric) on the transmission of the above information in a scholarly and academic fashion.  Each member of your group must participate in the presentation.  No more than 15% of the presentation shall be using a movie or video to make your points.  We want to hear from each member of your group….
