This modern instrument is elegant in its simplicity. There are no moving parts, it has a fixed resolution of 1 nm and is completely computer controlled. The internal design and construction leaves no need for alignment when replacing parts.

The basic pieces of the system are:

• The microcomputer
• The optical bench
• The cell compartment
• The "sipper" for flow-cell use
