Scanning UV-Visible Spectrophotometer

Control Panel

Almost all modern instruments will have some type of panel which will allow you to set parameters for your spectra. Parameters generally set are:

• Slit Width
• Scan Speed
• Beginning Wavelength
• Ending Wavelength
• Single/Dual Beam Mode

In spectrophotometers like the DMS-90, there is an internal computer which allows you to set most of these parameters by entering these parameters with a key pad.
