OCSO was rekindled by the 2008 ABA Convention at Mt. Marty College, Yankton,

Spirituality: Expanding Merton's Vision" 7-10 August.
I
post some of the better shots I make using the Abbey Web Office's new
(2007), Panasonic™ Lumix DMC-LZ7® at "Cybermonk Fotolog." The LZ7 replaces the
obsolescent Canon™ Super Shot G3® digital camera from 2003.
The photo on the right shows Cypripedium reginae, also know as the pink and white moccasin flower, or "Showy Lady Slipper." It was adopted as the official state flower of Minnesota on 19 February 1902 and appears in the Arms of the State of Minnesota.
Fotolog.net is an online community of photographers populated
mainly by Brazilian teenagers, but "
Gold Camera Members" generally
post excellent fotos. Google offers an alternative method for sharing photos
at Picasaweb.

Ellis A. Oliver (1872-1937), my grandfather, was a member of The Scumblers, Pennsylvania plein air artists who gathered in Edison, PA, in the first decades of the 20th century. The painting of Independence Hall, above, was left unfinished at his death in the bloom of European fascism.
