Ralph "Chubb" Roettger, 76

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2002 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Ralph "Chub" Roettger, age 76, who died Friday at the Assumption Nursing Home in Cold Spring, MN. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond. The Golden Smiles will pray a rosary at 4:30 p.m. Catholic Order of Foresters, Richmond American Legion and the Richmond Fire Department will pray at 7:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8:00 p.m.

Ralph was born in Richmond, MN to Joseph and Rosena (Schmitt) Roettger. He married Marilyn Ann Wenner on October 25, 1952, in Santa Monica, California. He was co-owner and operator of Richmond Hatchery and Poultry Farm. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII 1944-1946.

He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and wood carver. He was a former member of the Richmond Fire Department and American Legion.

Survivors include Marilyn and their children, Michael of St. Cloud, Mark (Janel) of Richmond, Mary Roettger (Dick Comben) of St. Paul, James (Eleanor Hand) of Minneapolis, Bill of Clive, IA, Tom (Brenda) of Rice, MN; 8 grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Dorothy Peschl, Rosemary Brinkman, Dolores Wenner, John Roettger, and Joe Roettger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard and Ray, and sister, Alice.
