Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for John B. "Jabe" Ellering age 48, who died peacefully Thursday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Home in St. Paul, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was exceptionally strong throughout his battle yet always remained humble and determined. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish prayers will be at 8:00 p.m.

Jabe was born in Owatonna, MN to John A. and Angela (Horejsi) Ellering. He owned and operated Richmond Lanes since the mid 1970ís. His favorite past times were fishing, gardening and spending time with his friends.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Curt (Jan) of Crystal, Nadine (Steve) Jacobson of Edina, Mark (Debbie) of Lakeville, Jill (Mike) Page of Las Vegas, NV, Beth (Larry) Moore of Spicer, 6 nieces and 2 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; and his cousin Connie.
