Weismann, 69Richmond July 6, 2003 Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond for Harold D. Weismann, age 69, who died Sunday at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. The Richmond Senior Citizens and Catholic Order of Foresters will pray a rosary at 4:30 p.m. The Richmond Fire Department and the Richmond American Legion will pray at 7:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Harold was born in Rockville to Martin and Eileen (Coulter) Weismann. He married Maxine M. Abeln on September 15, 1956, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years before retiring in 1986. He then worked part time in his retirement for Peltz Manufacturing in St. Martin. Harold served in the Armed Forces of the United States from 1953 until 1955. He served as the Mayor of Rich-mond for 14 years. He was serving as a Richmond City Council Member. Harold was also a member of the Stearns County Environmental Board, Richmond American Legion, Stearns County Community Corrections Juvenile Division, and the Tri-City Cable Board. Survivors include his wife, Maxine and children, Glenn (Susan) of Cold Spring and Gary (Kathy) of Richmond. He had one sister, Donna Steichen of Kimball; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin and infant son, Dean.
