| Mick Keenan was born on March 22, 1935, to George and Grace (Maddy)
Keenan in Grand Rapids, MN. He was a graduate of Hutchinson High School
and St. John's University.
Mick married Mary Alice Wedl on June 25, 1960, at St. Boniface Church in Cold Spring, MN. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice; sons, George W. III "Bill" (Beth) from Burnsville, John (Susie) from St. Cloud, Timothy Paul (Julie) from Richmond, Gregory Robert (Rhonda) from Tulsa; 11 grandchildren; sister, Harriet (Ken) Ahlstrom, and nieces and nephews. Mick worked in sales (usually insurance) until he became ill on August 31, 2001. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served on the Sauk River Chain of Lakes Board and the MN Lakes Association Board. Mick's happiest times were when he was surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. They were the center of this life! A celebration of Mick's life will be held at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring on Friday, December 20, 2002 at 4:30 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Richmond Elementary School Playground Fund. |
