| Funeral services will be 11:00
a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2002 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic
Church in Richmond, MN for Alice Silbernick, age 84, who died Sunday
at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish
cemetery.
Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, and from 8:00 a.m. to
10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. The
Golden Smiles and Christian Women will pray a rosary at 4:30 p.m.
Parish prayers will be at 8:00 p.m.
Alice was born in Freeport to Henry G. and Wilhelmina M.
(Schulte) Rolfes. She married Edwin J. Silbernick on November 15,
1937 in Sacred Heart Church, Freeport, MN. She worked at the Farming
Creamery and Richmond Creamery, St. Cloud School of Nursing and
after 25 years at the Rocori School District she retired.
She was a member of the Christian Women, National Catholic
Society of Foresters, St. Theresa Mission Circle and Sts. Peter
& Paul Parish.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (Barb), Elaine (Norb)
Silvers, Darlene (John) Niewind of Richmond, Ed (Shirley) of
Brandon, Kathleen Loehlein of Cold Spring, Steve (Laurie) of St.
Cloud, Michelle (Don) Kalkman of Bloomington and Lynn of Waite Park;
brothers, Harvey Rolfes and Alcuin Rolfes; 29 grandchildren and 39
great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin (1993); son,
Thomas; daughter, Roxanne; parents; brothers, Jimmy Rolfes, Allen
Rolfes, Anthony Rolfes, Amandus Rolfes; sisters, Delores Schwartz,
Marcella Westbrock, Laverne Roering, and Marie Rolfes; son in law
Lloyd Loehlein. |
