Richmond 13, Roscoe 6

ROSCOE -- Richmond, led by Jon Dold, lashed out 19 hits in Roscoe's last game of the season.

Dold went 3-for-7 with a two-run homer in the sixth and a double. Brent Ruegemer was 3-for-6 and Cory Niewind went 3-for-5 with a double. Jeron Lieser smacked a two-run homer in the fifth. The winning pitcher was Scott Ruegemer, came on in relief of Jeremy Glenz in the fifth inning.

Roscoe led 5-4 going into the sixth inning before Richmond rallied.

For Roscoe, Greg Heinen was 2-for-3 with a double and a solo homer in the econd. Todd Leyendecker was 3-for-4 with a double. The losing pitcher was Chris Vanderbeek, who came on in sixth.

Lake Henry 9, Richmond 6

Lake Henry -- Jon Lieser, Jeff Schmitz and Josh Kampsen all belted home runs to lead Lake Henry's 15-hit attack.

Doug Fuchs went the distance to get the win.  He also was 3-for-5.  Jeremy Glenz got the loss in relief of Nate Guetter.

Lieser was 2-for-5 with a solo homer in the eighth.  Schmitz was 2-for-4 with a two-run homeer in the seventh.  Kampsen hit a two-run homer in the second.

For Richmond, Jon Dold slugged a two-run homer in the first.  Jeron Liser had a two-run homer int he fourth.  Phil Loehlein was 3-for-4.

Richmond 5, Farming 4

Richmond -- Jon Dold was 2-for-3, including a three-run home run in the fourth inning, as Richmond edged Farming in Stearns County League Play.

The Royals jumped out to a 5-1 lead before the Flames rallied.  Aaron Nett was 2-for-4, including a three-run home in the top of the ninth inning.

Five members of the Richmond Royals have been named to the South Team for the Stearns County League All-Star Game.  The players include:

Cold Spring 10 -- Richmond 0

arrow.gif (175 bytes) COLD SPRING - The Cold Spring Springers won their annual Merchants' Night game by beating the Richmond Royals 10-0 in eight innings.

Zach Femrite went six innings to get the win for Cold Spring (3-0 Lakewood, 11-3 overall). He struck out 10 and walked none, allowing two hits.

For Cold Spring, Mike Trewick was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI. Ryan Mathre was 2-for-4 with a double and RBI. Ben Griffin was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Chris Bell was 2-for-3 for Cold Spring, which plays St. Cloud Orthopedic Sports Center at 7 p.m. Sunday at Dick Putz Field.

For Richmond (7-6), Darren Michaelis was 2-for-3. The Royals' only other hit was by Nick Hervin. Losing pitcher was Scott Ruegemer.

Richmond 11 - Meier Grove 5

arrow.gif (175 bytes) MEIER GROVE - Cory Niewind went 3-for-5 with a double to lead the Royals 12-hit attachk.  Jeron Lieser also doubled for Richmond.  Jeremy Glenz both the win in relief.  Meier Grove had five hits.  Losing pitcher was Ryan Klaphake.
