Guidelines for redoing the written part of Exam 3.

The corrected version of the exam needs to be given to me by the next class period, with the original exam.

You may only redo the written questions, not the multiple choice.

Your answers must be in a Word document.

You can hand draw mitosis/meiosis/chromosome figures on the document, but everything else must be written neatly and with proper grammar.

The questions will be answered in order and it should be made extremely clear to me which question you are answering.

If the question is multipart be extremely clear which part you are answering.

You may ask me questions to clarify an exam question, but you may not ask about solving the problem.

If anyone who did well tells me that others in the class are exerting pressure on them to “give” them answers to the questions, I’ll cancel this revision opportunity for everyone.

Question 42

Cyclin-dependent kinase is an enzyme, part a is asking how that enzyme is regulated.

Question 46

When a geneticist looks at a pedigree, they first try to decide if the mode of inheritance is something simple like autosomal recessive, autosomal dominant, sex-linked recessive or sex-linked dominant.  What I am asking is, in this pedigree which of the progeny indicate that sex-linked recessive cannot be the inheritance pattern of this character?  That is, which of the progeny is impossible if this is a sex-linked inheritance pattern?
