I received my Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Maryland, and  my master's in Public Health and doctorate in Family Social Science. at the University of Minnesota.  My teaching career began in the nursing department at CSB|SJU in 1974.   I have participated in department and institutional governance throughout the last almost-30 years, including a term as Faculty Staff Assembly chair and Chair of the the joint academic assessment committee.  As a full-professor and a tenured member of the nursing department, I currently serve as department chair.
