ED 203 SCORING RUBRIC - ASSIGNMENT C

 

This assignment addresses SEPs 1C, 2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 5A, 6A, and 6H (Options A and B) or SEPs 2C, 3B, 3N, 6E, 10I, and Ed 203 # 13 (Options B or C)

 

Content (15 pts. possible):

(15 points) All aspects of the assignment are included and dealt with impressively. Information is presented clearly, accurately, and with sufficient detail. Connections to class/text are accurate and elaborate.

(13-14 points) All aspects of the assignment are included and dealt with adequately, though not with sufficient depth and detail. There may be minor inaccuracies or a lack of clarity. Connections between the assignment and course content may be insufficient.

(10-12 points) A part of the assignment may be neglected; multiple aspects may lack detail, or there may be inaccuracies. Connections between course content and the assignment may be minimal.

(6-9 points) Multiple parts of the assignment are dealt with only minimally. Many inaccuracies may be present, or connections to class material are virtually neglected.

(5 points or below) The paper does not correspond to the assignment, contains many major inaccuracies, or neglects multiple aspects of the assignment.

 

Writing (10 pts. possible):

(10 points) The paper is quite well written. There are essentially no mechanical errors, nor are there problems with grammatical usage, sentence structure, or word choice. The paper is very well organized, and it is a pleasure to read because of its clarity and elegant style.

(8-9 points) The paper is generally well written. Mechanical errors are minor and/or few in number. Problems with grammatical usage, sentence structure, and word choice are minimal. The paper  is generally well organized and presents ideas clearly, but may contain some awkward wording. Thus, its style may lack the elegance of those in the above category.

(5-7 points) The paper is coherent, but has numerous and/or major errors in mechanics, grammatical usage, or word choice. It may contain an occasional incomplete or run-on sentence, read quite awkwardly, or have problems with organization or clarity.

(4 points and below) The paper may contain non-sequiturs as well as gross errors in mechanics, grammatical usage, or word choice. There may be numerous incomplete and/or run-on sentences. Organization may be so poor as to make the paper incoherent.
