personal interests:
advising
I am happy to help any student interested in biology but am a good resource for those interested in:
research
My basic interests lie in molecular research to study microbial genomics, infectious disease, and the immune response to infection. There are several projects that students and I are working on in the summer and throughout the year. click here for more information
other biology links:
St. John's/St. Ben's Biology homepage
NCBI: this website has a lot! it holds one of the largest major gene and protein databases and also has a place to complete any PubMed searches (journal searches)
CDC website: interested in infectious disease and what the government is doing about it? Here is the Center for Disease Control website that has a lot of current information on infectious disease, treatments and control measures
American Society for Microbiology: they sponsor a lot of journals, texts and have some fun stuff under learn about microbiology on their webpage
