Review for Exam #2

General:
     The exam will be a mixture of objective (e.g., multiple choice, definition, fill-in-blank) and subjective (short answer) questions.  You may use pencil or pen to complete your exam, though I strongly recommend pencil.  The exam is designed to last one hour.  In general, the exam could include:  (1) anything covered in class; (2) lecture notes on line; and (3) study sheets, articles, handouts or other materials used/assigned in class.  I try to ask an equal number of questions about each class.  The following is a summary of the main topics that are "fair game" for the exam. 

Creationism
     In class we had a debate on creation/evolution.  Be prepared to discuss the major creationist arguments against evolution and the scientific response (Check out the Gink & Go)

Apples
    Chapter 1 in Botany of Desire.  Check out the questions that were provided in class (and posted on line).  You may want to review the PowerPoint in the Public Folders.

Vegetative Structures & Vegetables

• Chapter 1 - Garden text; especially focus on topics covered in class - these are posted in the online notes for Vegetative Structures and for Growth & Development.  Sections in my notes that will NOT be on exam are indicated in red. 
• There is a Powerpoint in our Public Folder that has pictures of many of the structures that we discussed.
• Check out the online study guide.

Reproductive Structures

• Chapter 1 - Garden text; focus on topics covered in class - posted in the online notes (Reproductive Structures). There are some study questions you may want to check out.

Tulips
    Chapter 2 in Botany of Desire.  Check out the questions that were provided in class (and posted on line).  The Powerpoint shown in class is posted in the Public Folders.

Naming
    Chapter 2 in Garden Book.  Just the highlights that we discussed in class.  See Powerpoint in Public Folder.
